Overview
The Cooper B-Line PV4 pushbutton enclosure is a rugged, standards-compliant housing designed for industrial control applications. This vertical column enclosure accommodates four 30.5mm pushbuttons, pilot lights, or combination switches in environments requiring NEMA 12 protection—making it ideal for manufacturing floors, utility stations, and process control panels where moderate corrosion and contamination resistance is essential.
Key Features
- 4-hole vertical column configuration for standard 30.5mm pushbuttons and pilot lights
- NEMA 12 Type 12 rating with IP65 protection against circulating dust, falling dirt, and non-corrosive dripping liquids
- Carbon steel construction with oil-resistant gasket for durability in industrial environments
- Screw cover design with concealed, detachable hinges for easy access and maintenance
- Surface mounting with external mounting feet for simple installation
- Brushed steel finish on front and side panels
Technical Specifications
The enclosure measures 3.25 inches wide × 2.75 inches deep × 10.25 inches tall and weighs approximately 4.5 lbs. It is constructed from 14-gauge carbon steel and features CSA C22.2, IEC 60529, and UL 508 certifications. Typical Applications
- Machine start/stop and emergency stop control panels
- Industrial pump and motor control stations
- Utility substation and SCADA control cabinets
- Production line pilot device housings
- Water treatment and HVAC equipment control stations
Compatibility & Replacements
The PV4 is part of Cooper B-Line’s Type 12 pushbutton enclosure series. For applications requiring stainless steel construction (marine or corrosive environments), the PV4M variant offers metric-sized holes (22.5mm). The PV4F fiberglass version provides NEMA 4X non-metallic construction for outdoor or corrosive applications. Standard 30.5mm (1-1/4″) pushbutton holes are compatible with industry-standard pushbutton switches from manufacturers including Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Eaton, and Omron.
