Overview
The Allen-Bradley 2711P-RP1 /G is a logic module component of the PanelView Plus series. This module serves as the processor and memory core for PanelView Plus 700, 1000, 1250, and 1500 operator terminals, delivering reliable control and visualization capabilities in industrial automation environments. The Series G revision ensures proven compatibility with legacy and current PanelView Plus installations.

Technical Specifications
The 2711P-RP1 /G module connects to the display module via PCI slot and is a drop-in replacement for existing logic modules. The module connects to display circuitry through the PCI slot, and proper grounding must be observed during installation as components are highly sensitive to static electricity. The module does not operate standalone—it requires a display module (such as 2711P-RDT10C or 2711P-RDT7C) to operate.
Typical Applications
The logic module is widely used in the industrial sector to monitor application processes and adjust different machine settings. It serves as the brain of operator interface terminals in discrete manufacturing, process control, packaging, and material handling applications. Common uses include production line monitoring, real-time diagnostics, recipe management, and alarm logging for supervisory control systems.
Compatibility & Replacements
The 2711P-RP1 is compatible for use with PanelView Plus 700, 1000, 1250, and 1500 operator terminals. It is not compatible with Allen-Bradley PanelView Plus 6 terminals. The Series G unit is a direct replacement for earlier revisions (Series E and F) within the same terminal models. When replacing, ensure the display module is compatible with PanelView Plus classic architecture, not newer PanelView Plus 6 platforms.
