Overview
The Neptune RV-316-1 relief valve is a compact, field-adjustable pressure relief valve engineered for industrial and commercial liquid service applications. This 1/2″ valve is constructed of 316 stainless steel and rated for 30-100 PSI with a flow capacity of 3 gallons per minute (GPM). Neptune’s exclusive relief valve design utilizes a unique spring guide which assures proper spring loading and consistent relief capacity.
Key Features
- All wetted parts are 316SS or Carpenter 20 stainless steel construction
- Unique spring guide ensures consistent relief capacity, and the relief pressure setting can be easily changed by removing the top cap screw and locking set screw with an Allen wrench
- Self-cleaning ball check and seat design
- Designed for liquid service only, with pressure range of 30 to 100 PSI
- Recommended setting: operating pressure plus 10% or 50 psi whichever is greater
Technical Specifications
The RV-316-1 delivers reliable overpressure protection in compact form factor. Standard specifications include NPT threaded inlet and outlet ports, low flow rating suitable for metering and chemical dosing applications, and corrosion-resistant 316 stainless construction for harsh environments.
Typical Applications
- Chemical injection and metering pump systems
- Water treatment and filtration equipment
