Overview
The Banner SM31E Mini-Beam is a compact infrared photoelectric sensor designed for opposed-mode (through-beam) detection in industrial automation. The Mini-Beam-DC-Voltage Series offers self-contained opposed mode modulated infrared sensor pairs for 10 to 30 V dc operations, with standard sensor pairs having 3 m (10 ft) range and long range sensor pairs having 30m (100ft) sensing range. The SM31E emitter unit pairs with the Banner SM31R receiver to create a complete opposed-mode sensing system.

- Exclusive, patented Alignment Indicating Device system (AIDâ„¢) lights a rear-panel mounted red LED indicator whenever the sensor sees a “light” condition, with a superimposed pulse rate proportional to the light signal strength
- Reinforced thermoplastic polyester housing, totally encapsulated, o-ring sealing, and acrylic lenses
- IP67-rated housing with NEMA 4X enclosure rating
- 18 mm threaded barrel or side mounting options for flexible installation
- TTL compatible output for direct interface with digital control systems
