Overview
The B/W Controls 1500-G-L1-S3 is an induction-type liquid level control relay manufactured by AMETEK B/W Controls. AMETEK BW Controls Series 1500 Relays provide reliable liquid level control without the use of floats. When installed near pumps, motors or other operating equipment, the Series 1500 Induction Relay permits use of low-cost light gauge wires for the control circuit to level sensing electrodes. The Series 1500 Induction Relays provide versatile and economical means of controlling many processing and production functions from remote locations with the safety inherent in a low energy sensing circuit that is isolated from the AC power source.

Technical Specifications
The 1500-G-L1-S3 uses a G-series contact configuration for general-purpose pump control and level sensing. The L1 designation indicates single-level electrode sensing. The S3 secondary coil is rated for applications with moderate liquid conductivity. Operating characteristics are based on line voltages of 115, 230, 460 or 575 volts at 60 Hertz. B/W 1500 series control relays can only be used to sense conductive liquids and are not suitable for oil, gasoline, animal fats, and other similar materials, and should not be used with flammable liquids.
