Overview
The Burndy KPA34 is a SCRULUG™ mechanical terminal lug engineered for secure, reliable cable-to-equipment connections in industrial and commercial systems. Manufactured from high copper alloy and tin-plated for corrosion resistance, this single-conductor lug accommodates stranded copper wire ranging from 4/0 AWG to 500 kcmil. The 1/2″ stud mounting and 1-bolt-hole design make it ideal for direct installation on terminal blocks and equipment pads.
Key Features
- Pressure bar design — equalizes contact pressure across the conductor and eliminates screw-cutting hazards
- One-piece tongue and body — superior mechanical integrity and simplified assembly
- Tin-plated high copper alloy — excellent electrical conductivity and long-term corrosion protection
- Wide conductor range — rated for 4/0 AWG (stranded) through 500 kcmil stranded copper
- Hex bolt fastening — standard installation torque of 375 in-lb provides consistent termination
- Light industrial approved — proven in equipment pads, terminal blocks, and distribution systems
Technical Specifications
Consult the specification sheet for complete installation and dimensional data. Recommended tightening torque is 375 in-lb for optimal contact pressure without over-torquing.
