Overview
The Gates 2/B75 Hi-Power II PowerBand V-Belt is a banded heavy-duty V-belt engineered for industrial power transmission applications requiring high torque and pulsating load handling. Hi-Power II PowerBand belts are especially developed for high-power drives subjected to pulsating loads, with PowerBand technology consisting of several V-belts joined together by a permanent, high strength tie band, thus providing more powerful, tougher performance than the sum of the belts measured separately. This 2-strand configuration (2/B75) combines the load-carrying capacity of multiple V-belts into a single stable unit.

- PowerBand Technology: Multiple belts function as a single unit, with even load distribution and each strand fitting securely in the sheave groove. It offers a solution for drives where single belts vibrate, turn over or jump off the pulleys, consisting of several V-belts joined by a permanent, high-strength tie band.
- Flex-Bonded Construction: Flex-bonded tensile cords are vulcanized as one solid unit making the belt highly resistant to tensile and flexing forces, fatigue and shock loads.
- Environmental Durability: Elastomeric compound protects the belt against heat, ozone, and sunlight, with composite, multi-purpose construction resisting oil and heat, ozone, sunlight, weather, and aging.
- Lateral Stability: Strong band controls belt-to-belt distance and prevents sideways bending.
- Heat & Fire Safety: EPDM belt material is engineered to combat self-igniting, meaning your belt won’t catch fire from heat build-up, even with severe slippage.
