Overview
The Wahl ST2200 soldering iron tester is a portable, MIL-SPEC-compliant instrument designed for electronics manufacturers and repair facilities to verify soldering iron tip integrity and performance. This unit verifies soldering iron integrity using precise thermocouple sensors to simulate actual solder joints, and is intended to be used as a quality tool to assist manufacturers in complying with Soldering Standard IPC/EIA J-STD-001C or other applicable standards. The ST2200 combines thermocouple temperature measurement with electrical testing in a single compact bench instrument.
Key Features
- Millivolts AC only test with pass/fail warning light for voltage is MIL-SPEC compliant, with user-selectable resistance thresholds
- Provides testing of Temperature, AC voltage, AC + DC voltage and Resistance to Ground, and has a feature for testing Anti-static Wrist Straps and for detecting voltage spikes which might appear on the soldering iron tip
- ESD safe construction
- Includes TC800K Wire Probe, WST-02B Sensor, Cleaning Brush, and User Manual; user manual includes calibration instructions and troubleshooting guide
- Auxiliary AC convenience powers the soldering iron under test and insures common ground with the tester
