Overview
Eaton BA13A is a NEMA A200 thermal overload relay designed for motor overload protection in industrial applications. This Type B Class 20 relay is a 3-pole, starter-mounted device rated 0.25–26.2A with 1NC auxiliary contact and ambient compensation. The bimetallic design delivers consistent inverse time-delay operation across single-phase and three-phase motor circuits.
Key Features
- Ambient compensation standard for temperature-stable operation
- Class 20 to 600 VAC design with inverse time-delay trip
- Test trip device for weld check and high visibility up-front trip indication
- Trip-free reset mechanism
- Bimetallic actuated device with precisely calibrated heaters
- 1NC (1 Normally Closed) auxiliary contact for alarm and monitoring applications
Technical Specifications
The BA13A is rated for 40 to 75°C ambient operation and features threaded terminal connections for NEMA 5 enclosure mounting. This modern block-type, bimetallic design provides Class 20 operation in either single-phase or three-phase applications.
Typical Applications
- NEMA A200, A210, and A250 motor starter installations
- Three-phase and single-phase motor circuits
- Direct circuit connection or current transformer applications on NEMA size 5 and larger motors
- Industrial process control and manufacturing equipment protection
