Overview
The ATC UPA-130-GOV is a Universal Power Alert designed for hardwired installation in electrical control panels. This voltage detector visually alerts to the presence of dangerous AC or DC potentials across monitored input lines (L1, L2, L3, and ground). By pre-verifying electrical isolation from outside the panel, the ATC UPA-130-GOV reduces the risk of electrical arc flash and enhances NFPA 70E and OSHA compliance during lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Key Features
- Eight LED detectors – Two amber LEDs assigned to each input line, designated + and -, for clear voltage identification
- AC and DC detection – Monitors both AC potentials (bipolar) and DC or stored energy conditions simultaneously
- Redundant circuitry – Self-powered by the voltage being monitored, ensuring continuous operation without batteries
- 30mm panel knockout – Easy installation through standard panel cutouts; no conduit adapters required
- UL and cUL Listed – Meets UL File Number E55826 for electrical safety compliance
- NFPA 70E compliant – Supports arc flash hazard reduction and electrical safety program requirements
