Overview
Allen-Bradley 1394-AM04 is an axis amplifier module from the Bulletin 1394 product family of multi-axis digital servo drives. This Series A/B module is an integral component of the 1394 GMC or GMC Turbo motion control system, designed to convert DC power supplied by 1394 system modules into variable AC voltage for precise servo motor control. The 1394-AM04 is an inverter with no heatsink, making it compact and easy to integrate into existing control panels.
Key Features
- 3-kilowatt continuous output rating at 390 Volts AC, with peak power handling up to 9 Amps
- High efficiency – 98% power conversion efficiency reduces heat and power losses

Compatibility & Replacements
The 1394-AM04 is designed for the Allen-Bradley 1394 system module family, including 1394x-SJT05, 1394x-SJT10, and 1394x-SJT22 variants. It is compatible with a wide range of Allen-Bradley servo motors, including 1326AB (1326AB-B410G, 1326AB-B410J, 1326AB-B420E, 1326AB-B420H, 1326AB-B430E) and 1326AS series motors (1326AS-B330H, 1326AS-B420G, 1326AS-B440G, 1326AS-B460F). The 1394-AM04 Series A/B is interchangeable with the 1394C-AM04 Series C axis module. One axis module is required for each servo motor in the system, and up to four modules can operate in a single 1394 system for coordinated multi-axis control. Pairing the 1394-AM04 with secondary circuit protection devices (such as 1492-CB3-H300, 1492-CB3-H500, or 1492-CB3-H600 depending on system configuration) prevents nuisance tripping.
