Overview
The Allen-Bradley 1746-OB16 Series D is a digital DC output module engineered for the SLC 500 family of programmable logic controllers. This module features sixteen 24 Volts DC outputs and can be mounted on any of the 1746 I/O chassis’s free slots. The 1746-OB16 is a DC output module which features electronic protection against current overload and short circuit conditions through a thermal cut-out principle that limits channel current within milliseconds once the temperature threshold is reached.

On maximum resistive load, the 1746-OB16 has a signal ON delay of 0.1ms and OFF delay of 1.0ms, with a maximum off-state leakage current of 1mA and a maximum ON-state voltage drop of 1.2V at 0.50A. The module supports a continuous current of 8.0A at 30°C (86°F) and 4.0A at 60°C (140°F).
