Overview
The Allen-Bradley 1769-SDN DeviceNet Scanner is a dedicated communication module that bridges CompactLogix and MicroLogix 1500 controllers to DeviceNet-enabled industrial devices. This scanner module acts as an interface between DeviceNet devices and the programmable controller, providing capability to read inputs from slave devices, write outputs to slave devices, communicate with peer devices (messaging), and upload/download programs to 1764-LRP based MicroLogix 1500 across a DeviceNet network. The module delivers reliable multi-device networking for factory automation, process control, and material handling applications.
Key Features
- Supports up to 64 DeviceNet nodes with flexible communication rates: 125 kbps (500 m max), 250 kbps (250 m max), and 500 kbps (100 m max)
- Compact form factor measuring 118 x 87 x 35 mm (138 mm with mounting tabs), weighing approximately 280 grams
- LED indicators for module status, network status, I/O status, and diagnostic status for real-time operational insights
- DIN rail or panel mounting support
- Operates on DeviceNet voltage range of 11–25V DC with Class 2/SELV isolation
