Overview

The Dwyer 2000-200C Magnehelic differential pressure gauge is a precision instrument for measuring low air or non-corrosive gas pressures in the 0–200 cm water column (w.c.) range. Using Dwyer’s simple, frictionless Magnehelic® gage movement, it quickly indicates air or noncorrosive gas pressures—either positive, negative (vacuum) or differential. No manometer fluid to evaporate, freeze or cause toxic or leveling problems. This sealed-movement design makes it ideal for stationary and portable applications across HVAC, industrial filtration, and process monitoring.

Key Features

  • ±2% accuracy of full scale throughout the range at 70°F (21.1°C)
  • The design resists shock, vibration, over-pressures and is weatherproof to IP67
  • Quickly indicates low air or non-corrosive gas pressures—either positive, negative (vacuum) or differential
  • Complete mounting and connection fittings, plus instructions, are furnished with each instrument
  • No fluid required—eliminates maintenance, evaporation, and contamination concerns
  • Industry standard to measure fan and blower pressures, filter resistance, air velocity, furnace draft, and pressure drop across orifice plates

Technical Specifications

  • Measurement Range: 0–200 cm water column (w.c.)
  • Accuracy: ±2% of full scale at 70°F (21.1°C)
  • Gauge Type: Magnehelic® frictionless magnetic movement
  • Media Compatibility: Clean dry air, inert gases, non-corrosive gases
  • Weatherproof Rating: IP67
  • Case Diameter: 4-9/16 inch (standard)
  • Mounting Options: Flush panel (4-9/16″ hole) or surface mount with supplied hardware
  • Pressure Types: Positive, negative (vacuum), or differential
  • Calibration Position: Vertical (optimal); ranges above 17.5 in w.c. may be used at other angles with re-zeroing

Typical Applications

The Magnehelic® gage is the industry standard to measure fan and blower pressures, filter resistance, air velocity, furnace draft, pressure drop across orifice plates, liquid levels with bubbler systems and pressures in fluid amplifier or fluidic systems. It also checks gas-air ratio controls and automatic valves, and monitors blood and respiratory pressures in medical care equipment. Common uses include:

  • HVAC system filter pressure drop monitoring
  • Fan discharge and inlet pressure measurement
  • Furnace and combustion draft control
  • Industrial air and gas process applications
  • Portable field pressure diagnostics

Compatibility & Replacements

Compatible With

  • Standard 1/4″ tubing and compression fittings
  • Dwyer static pressure tips and vent valve kits
  • Pipe mounting brackets (1-1/4″ to 2″ pipe)
  • Panel-mount enclosures and weatherproof housings compatible with Series 2000
  • HVAC and building automation monitoring systems

Replaces / Drop-In Replacement For

The 2000-200C replaces earlier Magnehelic models with the same 200 cm w.c. range designation. The Magnehelic does not come with a mounting bracket; however, it does come with mounting screws and lugs that can be used to surface mount or flush mount the unit. For direct model interchangeability, consult the Dwyer cross-reference chart or contact a distributor to confirm legacy model compatibility.

Works With

  • Dwyer DM-2000 differential pressure transmitter systems
  • Dwyer weatherproof enclosure kits (ABS) for Series 2000
  • Static pressure tip and PVC tubing kits (A-481 installer kit)
  • Standard industrial ductwork and compressed air systems
  • Manual pressure measurement and control workflows
