Overview

The Eco Sensors C-30ZX ozone monitor is a compact, wall-mounted ozone detection and control system designed for continuous monitoring in industrial and commercial environments. The unit measures ozone concentration in a range of 0.02–0.14 ppm on an LED scale, with external data readout extending to 0.30 ppm. The fixed-mount detector includes a control relay and audible alarm designed to measure ozone from 0 to 0.14 ppm in 0.02 ppm increments, making it ideal for OSHA 8-hour TWA limit compliance.

Key Features

  • HMOS (Heated Metal Oxide Semiconductor) sensor technology for reliable, sensitive detection
  • Multicolor LED bar graph display: green for safe levels, yellow at 0.05 ppm (caution), and red at 0.1 ppm (danger)
  • Response time of tenths of seconds or less when ozone contacts the sensor
  • Outputs include LED bar graph, audible alarm, 0–3 V analog output for data loggers, and external alarm relay contacts
  • User-settable relay and alarm from 0 to 0.14 ppm; relay can turn off an ozone generator, trigger external alarms, or activate door interlocks
  • Requires minimal installation and operates without batteries

Technical Specifications

  • Ozone measurement range: 0.02–0.14 ppm (LED display); up to 0.30 ppm via external data readout
  • Sensor dimensions: 85 mm × 35 mm × 60 mm (3.25 in. × 1.375 in. × 2.375 in.)
  • Weight: 140 grams (5 oz)
  • Power requirements: 12 VDC at 300 mA
  • Outputs: LED bar graph, audible alarm, 0–3 V analog output, external relay contacts; alarm actuation and relay closure configurable and standard at 0.1 ppm
  • Annual calibration recommended; sensor life approximately two years

Typical Applications

The C-30ZX is suitable for water treatment plants, pulp bleaching mills, ozone generator monitors, photocopier and laser printer centers, fumigation projects, HVAC and indoor air quality systems, vehicular pollution monitors, research labs and pilot plants, and wherever ozone exposure is possible. The unit constantly monitors the work environment, displays ozone concentration on a multicolor display, and alarms when a health hazard is detected.

Compatibility & Replacements

Compatible With

  • External data loggers (0–3 V analog signal interface)
