Overview
The Cognex Model 1450 I/O Expansion Module (800-5758-1) is a discrete input/output expansion interface for Cognex In-Sight vision sensors. This module provides 8 digital inputs and 8 digital outputs, enabling integration with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and external automation equipment. The 24VDC power source must be the same source used by the Programmable Logic Control I/O. The module supports multiple In-Sight sensor generations via configurable RJ-45 or M12 connector terminations.

This is the primary Model 1450 configuration. No direct drop-in replacements exist; however, the Cognex CIO-1460 I/O module and newer CIO-MICRO series offer expanded functionality for In-Sight 5100/5400 systems. Verify compatibility with your system integrator before ordering.
