Overview
The Kobold KAL-4340S thermal flow switch is a compact, microprocessor-controlled flow switch designed for use in monitoring and control applications involving moderate flow rates of non-viscous or dirty liquids. This sanitary model features 316-Ti stainless steel construction with a 1½” Tri-Clamp fitting, making it ideal for pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and sanitary process applications where corrosion resistance and easy disassembly are critical.
Key Features
- Uses the proven thermal dispersion principle with a probe heated internally to a few degrees above the temperature of the medium
- Incorporates an 8 segment bar-graph LED flow trend indicator and one flow alarm setpoint, fully configurable as NPN, PNP, normally-open or normally-closed
- Microprocessor can be field calibrated to users’ liquid properties and operating range in a simple, five minute set-up procedure
- No moving parts design eliminates wear and reduces maintenance
- N/O contact configuration with cable gland and ½” NPT connection, powered by 24 VDC
