Overview
The Allen-Bradley 592-EEDC is a Bulletin 592 series solid-state overload relay from Rockwell Automation. It belongs to the E1 Plus family of electronic overload relays and is engineered to protect motors, motor controllers, and power wiring against overheating due to excessive overcurrents when coordinated with proper short-circuit protection. This relay is ambient compensated and phase loss sensitive, and it supports a time delay.
Key Features
- 3-phase overload current adjustment range of 3.2 to 16 Amps
- Mounts to NEMA size 0-2 Bulletin 500 contactors
- Selectable manual or auto-manual reset with one normally open and one normally closed contact
- Trip rating of 120% FLA (Full Load Amps)
- Selectable trip class of 10, 15, 20, or 30
- IP20 protection rating
Technical Specifications
The 592-EEDC relay is an electronic overload relay, part of the 592 and E1 Plus Overload Relays series with manual and auto-manual reset options, coming with 3 poles. M8 terminal screws are recommended for the 592-EEDC relay.
Typical Applications
The Allen-Bradley 592-EEDC is commonly used in motor control centers, industrial automation cabinets, and electrical enclosures where protection against motor overload and phase loss is required. It integrates with NEMA starter packages for machinery and process control applications across manufacturing, water treatment, HVAC systems, and general industrial equipment protection.
