Overview
The Allen-Bradley 1769-IF4 Series B Analog Input Module is a CompactLogix Compact I/O module designed to acquire analog signals from field instruments and sensors. This module features four (4) input channels and is designed to interface field devices that send 0-21 mA and ±10VDC analog signals. The 1769-IF4 delivers 16-bit resolution for precise data conversion, enabling accurate measurement of voltage and current inputs across industrial automation applications.
Key Features
- Supports differential inputs, single-ended sensor and transmitter inputs, and mixed transmitter inputs
- Supports ±10V DC, 0 to 10V DC, 0 to 5V DC, and 1 to 5V DC voltage ranges, and 0 to 20 mA, 4 to 20 mA current ranges
- Internal open-circuit detection is automatically enabled when a channel is enabled, activating the under-range error bit
- Channel-to-ground isolation improves signal integrity and system safety
- Can be fine-tuned with provided parameters such as process alarms, input filters, real-time sampling, and alarm deadband
- Channels can auto-calibrate when first engaged or when configuration differs from the previous channel

- Process monitoring and temperature acquisition
- Pressure and flow measurement
- Multi-sensor industrial control systems
- Manufacturing automation with analog feedback
- Environmental and facility monitoring
