Overview
The WEG SSW050010T2246EPZ is part of WEG’s SSW05 Plus Micro Soft-Starter line, a fully digital motor control device designed for three-phase induction motors. WEG soft starters are fitted with micro processors and were designed to ensure the highest performance during starts and stops of induction motors. Soft-Starters are electronic starters designed to accelerate, decelerate and protect three-phase induction motors, controlling the voltage applied on the motor. The 10A model operates across 220–460V inputs, making it suitable for approximately 5 HP motors. The SSW05 Plus Micro Soft-Starters are compact, optimization the space in electrical panels and incorporates all protections for the driven motor.

- The control of the voltage applied to the motor, by adjusting the firing angle of the thyristors, provides smooth starts and stops.
- By properly setting the variables, the obtained torque is adjusted to the load requirement, ensuring the minimum necessary starting current.
- All protections for the electric motor are incorporated, in addition to being easily set, simplifying the start-up activities and daily operations.
- The Operator Interface allows easy parameter setting, simplifying the start-up and operation activities.
- Communication between the soft-starter and personal computer is done via RS232 serial interface.
