Overview
The Allen-Bradley 1756-M16SE is an industrial-grade SERCOS interface module designed for ControlLogix chassis-based systems. This SERCOS Integrated Motion Module serves as a link between the ControlLogix platform and intelligent servo drives. The module uses fiber-optic cables for rapid real-time serial communication that is noise-immune. The 1756-M16SE supports 16 axes per module and up to 32 axes per controller.
Key Features
- Uses a single digital fiber-optic link, eliminating the need for up to 18 digital wires per axis
- Supports 4 Mbps and 8 Mbps SERCOS data rates
- Control modes include velocity, torque, and precision positioning
- Compatible with ControlLogix chassis including 1756-A4, 1756-A7, 1756-A10, 1756-A13, and 1756-A17
- Accepts plastic fiber-optic cables or glass fiber-optic cables for servo drive connections
- CE and UKCA certified
