The Gates 3VX1060 Super HC PowerBand is an industrial-grade V-belt designed for heavy-duty mechanical power transmission in applications requiring high horsepower in limited drive space. Gates Super HC Powerband belts are engineered for drives where single belts vibrate, turn over, or jump off the pulleys, and work best for operations subjected to pulsating loads. This molded notch, banded belt combines several V-belts joined together by a permanent, high strength tie band, thus providing more powerful, tougher performance than all the belts taken separately.

  • PowerBand Construction: By joining several Super HC V-belts together the Super HC PowerBand offers a maintenance-free solution for drives where single belts vibrate, turn over or jump off the pulleys.
  • Flex-Bonded Design: Flex-Bonded cords are strongly forged to the belt body, resulting in equal load distribution, resistance to fatigue and shock loads, and the absorption of bending stress without cord deterioration.
  • EPDM Rubber Construction: Made of EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) rubber for resistance to weathering, oils, water, and some solvents.
  • Extended Temperature Range: Working temperature range of -65 to +250 degrees F to protect the belt from cracking and meets RMA oil and heat resistance standards and static conductivity requirements.
  • Molded Notches: Notches molded into the underside create the flexibility needed to fit smaller diameter sheaves while maintaining strength and traction.
  • V80 Precision Matching: Super HC belts are part of Gates’ V80 matching system, which guarantees that all belts of the same type and size will be more precisely matched than the Rubber Manufacturers Association (RMA) and International Standards Organization (ISO) standards require.
