Installation and Configuration
The 1771-IFE/A module is designed for easy installation into any Allen-Bradley Universal I/O Chassis, such as the 1771-A1B, 1771-A2B, 1771-A3B, or 1771-A4B. It is recommended to place analog input modules away from AC or high-voltage DC modules to minimize electrical noise interference. The module features internal jumpers for configuring each input channel as either current or voltage input, with selectable ranges per channel.
Applications
This module is ideal for process measurement applications, including temperature, pressure, level, flow, pH, viscosity, and vibration monitoring. It effectively converts various process variable signals into proportional PLC data values, suitable for monitoring and control purposes.
Indicators and Diagnostics
The front panel includes a green RUN indicator and a red FAULT indicator. Upon power-up, the module performs a self-check; if no faults are detected, the red FAULT indicator turns off, and the green RUN indicator flashes until successful communication with the processor is established.
